Muscadine Painting Co.: a demo build for a house painter
A bright, two-tone website for a fictional house-painting company in the Triangle, built to show the standard we work to. Eighteen pages, a service-area map drawn from real coordinates, and copy written for the Carolina climate.

Muscadine Painting Co. is a fictional business, set in Raleigh, North Carolina. The site is real and live; the business, its reviews and its contact details are not.

Why we built it
Muscadine Painting Co. is not a real business. We built it to show a painter what their website could be, on a live site they can open on their own phone, rather than describing it in a sales call. There are no reviews, ratings or licence numbers on it, and the phone number is a reserved 555 placeholder.
What’s in it
- Eighteen pages. A homepage, a page for each of the five main services (exterior, interior and cabinet painting, decks and porches, and repainting after storm or water damage), contact, thank-you and privacy pages, and a page for each town served.
- A five-step process. From the walkthrough and color consult to the final touch-ups, so a homeowner knows exactly what happens and when.
- Copy written for the Carolina climate. Pollen season, humidity and mildew, red clay splashback, summer heat and tropical-storm rain, and what a painter does about each.
- A map of the service area. Drawn from the real coordinates of fifteen Triangle towns as a lightweight SVG, with no map tiles or third-party scripts.
- Eight town pages for local search. Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Apex, Chapel Hill, Wake Forest, Holly Springs and Garner, each written around the homes there.
- An estimate form that works without JavaScript. It posts to a small Cloudflare function and lands on a thank-you page.
How it performs
Every figure on this page is measured on the live demo, not claimed. In mobile Lighthouse tests the homepage scores 100 for performance and 100 for accessibility, with no layout shift, and the site ships no JavaScript bundles. You can re-run the Lighthouse test yourself in a browser in under a minute.
